Susanna is an award-winning television producer with over 25 years’ experience. From Comic Relief with Lenny Henry, Miranda Hart and Davina McCall to world first expeditions with Steve Backshall, she has ventured to some of the remotest corners of the planet – searching for snow leopards at 5000 metres in the Himalayas, tracking elephants through the northern rangelands of Kenya, and brown bears in the heart of Kamchatka.
When not filming, Susanna, her husband and their dog travel the world in their Land Rover Defender 110 – driving north to the Arctic Circle, south to the Mediterranean and heading off road through the Sahara for 6 months through Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Mali to Timbuktu and back.
Producing The Wild Ones has been her most demanding challenge yet – gaining access to some of the world’s most fiercely protected areas to find and film critically endangered animals teetering on the edge of extinction.
